Under the direction of the Chef, primarily responsible for preparing the side dishes, desserts and the Meals On Wheels cold packs under the supervision of the Head Cook. The Prep Cook is also responsible for the majority of all cleaning in the kitchen and steam table area.

Hours: Normal hours are from 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Additional hours may be necessary from time to time and are allowable with prior permission from the Executive Director.

Compensation: Non-exempt, hourly starting at $11.00 per hour

Required Knowledge and Skills:

· Knowledge and experience in large-scale food preparation.

· Knowledge of sanitary methods of food handling

· Must have a valid food handler’s permit.

· Ability to maintain effective working relationships with people of different social, cultural and educational backgrounds.
